Cartier Ceinture 78100 Paris 18k 1970s

Cartier Ceinture 78100 Paris 18k 1970s

The first Ceinture watch dates back to 1927. And in 1973-1974 the model was re-released in two different case sizes, 25 mm and 27 mm.Ā

The Ceinture was so named because the case is shaped like a belt buckle (ceinture is the French word for belt) and features a very interesting square case with what appear to be ā€œcutā€ corners.

The ā€žPARISā€œ text at six o’clock on the dial and on the case back denote that this Cartier was retailed out of a boutique in Paris or London.
