Audemars Piguet 18k Calatrava Ultra Thin 1950s

Audemars Piguet 18k Calatrava Ultra Thin 1950s

Here we have a beautifully finished Audemars Piguet dress watch from the 1950s with a beautiful clean white dial. This particular piece is notable for its beautiful unpolished condition and a strong 18k yellow gold ultra-thin case with some oxidation around the bezel. We love it that way, but it could be easily polished away, if wanted.

In 1953, AP introduced the Ultra thin 2003 caliber, which was designed, developed and produced by Jaeger LeCoultre and decorated by Audemars Piguet. By 2003 these slim movements were in the AP catalogs and still the slimmest movements on the market!
